Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply when you visit equanimitylabo.com or play any game made by Equanimity Labo ("we", "us"), on any platform. By using them, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, to use our games and website. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.

2. Your license to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our games and website for your own non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to:

• copy, modify, sell, rent or redistribute our games or their content;
• reverse engineer or decompile our games, except where the law allows it;
• cheat, use bots, or exploit bugs to gain an advantage or post false scores;
• interfere with the games, the website or other players, or try to access them in an unauthorized way;
• use our games or website for anything unlawful.

3. In-game items and currencies

Coins, cash, chips, stars, lives, cards and other in-game items are part of the game. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are licensed to you, not sold. We may rebalance or change them as we update our games.

4. Purchases

Some games offer optional purchases, such as removing ads. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms, including their refund rules. Refund requests go to the store where you bought the item.

5. Ads

Our games are free and supported by advertising. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the content of ads or the websites they link to.

6. Nicknames and leaderboards

Where a game lets you choose a nickname or post a score, it must not be offensive, impersonate someone, or break the law. We may remove nicknames or scores that break these rules, or that look fraudulent.

7. App stores and game portals

When you get a game from the App Store, Google Play or a game portal such as CrazyGames, that platform's terms also apply. For games downloaded from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies alongside these Terms; Apple is not responsible for our games or for supporting them.

8. Our content

Our games, their names, logos, artwork, music, sounds, code and this website belong to Equanimity Labo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party content is used under license.

9. Changes and availability

We keep improving our games, which means features, levels and balance may change. We may also stop offering a game or part of it. We try to keep everything running, but we can't promise the games or website will always be available or free of errors.

10. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, our games and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Equanimity Labo is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the loss of in-game progress or items, arising from your use of our games or website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, including, for residents of Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act. If a provision of these Terms is not enforceable where you live, it does not apply to you, and the rest of the Terms remain in effect.

13. Ending these Terms

You can stop using our games and website at any time. We may suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Quebec, unless the consumer protection laws of the place where you live give you the right to go to court there.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you on this website or in our games before they take effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the updated Terms.
